- Cat Whittaker Review added: 2018.06.23★ ★ ★ ★ ★The Captain's House has all the mod-cons yet has all the traditional features and classic style rooms. The kitchen is really lovely and warmly welcomes family gatherings.The house has a magnificent view of the harbour and has excellent parking facilities. It is only minutes away from the centre of Falmouth with its unique and eclectic shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Our two teenage sons (aged 17 and 14) loved it, especially the Maritime Museum. There's plenty of nature and wildlife (such as seals and kestrels) which are seen along the many walks along the River Fal, St Mawes and coast with many sandy beaches suited ideal for surfers. This was certainly one of our most favourite holidays and highly recommend it, suited to all.
